CBI constable arrested for murder
New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) The Delhi Police today arrested a CBI constable in connection with a murder in West Delhi late last night.
CBI constable Mohinder Singh, posted in the Vigilance branch of the CBI, was arrested for the murder of Raju, a waiter at a restaurant in the Dabri area of west Delhi at around midnight last night.
Police said Mohinder had arrived at the 'dhaba' (restaurant) at around Midnight along with three others and asked to be served food.
When told that the food at the restaurant was finished, Mohinder and his friends started beating the owner of the restaurant and two waiters, including Raju. While the owner and the other waiter fled from the spot,the constable and his accomplices caught hold of Raju and beat him severely.
Raju was taken to Deen Dyal hospital where he was declared brought dead. Meanwhile, an irate crowd of onlookers ran after Mohinder and his accomplices following Raju's death and managed to catch hold of Mohinder who was handed over to the police.
