Aircraft makes emergency landing in Nagpur

Nagpur, Aug 30 (UNI) A Jet Lite aircraft on its way from Nagpur to Kolkata had to make an emergency landing here after developing a crack in the windscreen, airport sources said today.

The flight, with 62 passengers and crew on board, took off for Kolkata as per schedule late last evening.

However, after a few minutes, the windscreen developed a crack, compelling the pilot to seek permission to make an emergency landing at Nagpur airport itself.

The passengers were accommodated in a city hotel and would be taken to Kolkata by another aircraft today, the sources added.
