ACR demands rehabilitation of flood victims

Itanagar, Aug 30 (UNI) The Arunachal Citizens Right(ACR), a voluntary organisation here today demanded the state government to rehabilitate those affected by recent flood.

'' Though the state government had sanctioned Rs 1.25 crore as immediate relief to the bereaved families, only 30 to 40 lakhs were distributed, including Rs 5000 for the damage of temporary houses and 10,000 for RCC houses '' the organizational sources said.

The sources also pointed deriliction of duty by the officials as irregularities were committed on large scale.

There are evidences of many people receiving relief of Rs 25,000 to 50,000 without any damage, sources stated.

'' The picture of flood damage are still apparent and evident in the colonies as people in and around the affected colonies were yet to recover from the devastation caused by flood '' sources added.
