Water management committees to be set up: Bommai

Hubli, Aug 29 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Water Resources Basavaraj Bommai today said the State Government was seriously thinking about constituting state and district-level water management committees soon.

Talking to newsmen at Kunnur in Haveri district, he said the committees would help in not only augmenting water resources but also provide consultancy in water management by offering technical skill.

Expressing concern over fluoride content in water in about 3,300 villages in the state, Mr Bommai said the Government had proposed a tank network system to provide these villages with potable water.
