Students protest police failure in rescuing abducted boy

Mangaldai, Aug 29 (UNI) A number of student bodies today took out a rally at Tangla town in Assam's Udalguri district protesting the failure of police in finding the whereabouts of a school student abducted four days ago.

Jatin Agarwal, a student of class IV of Tangla English Medium school, was kidnapped by two unidentified gunmen on August 25 from his school gate.

The students groups, led by the local All Assam Students Union (AASU) unit, braved incessant rain to participate in the protest rally.

They later submitted a memorandum to Bodoland Territorial Council chief Hagrama Mohilary, through the ADC, for early rescue of the kidnapped boy and providing better security to residents of the town.
