Reji Joseph selected for Fr Columbere award

Kottayam, Aug 29 (UNI) The Kottayam Bureau Chief of Malayalam daily ''Deepika'', Reji Joseph has been selected for Fr Columbere Kayathinkara Memorial Award for the year 2008.

Announcing the award at a press conference here today, Fr Columbere Kayathinkara Memorial Trust Secretary K K Abraham said the article ''Udachuvarkenda Civil Service'' published in the daily between November 3 to 7, 2007, secured him the award.

The award, consisting of a cash prize, citation and memento, would be presented at a function to be held at Pala on September 8.

Fr Columbere was the Chief Editor of Deepika and he died on July 21, 1991.
