Rahul takes on Maya's Govt. on development scheems

Allahabad, Aug 29: Congress General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP from Amethi, Rahul Gandhi has condemned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's Government for not implementing development schemes.

Addressing his maiden rally here on Thursday, Aug 28 Rahul claimed that the Central Government has launched several schemes for the poor, but the State Government has failed to implement them properly. "These schemes are not reaching the people. Many schemes like loan waiver, employment schemes, Mid Day Meal are not reaching the poor. Money comes up till Lucknow, but it does not reach the needy," he added. He also accused the State Government of not adequately handling the flood situation in the state.
