Pak prisoners hide cellphones by stuffing them up their rectums!
Lahore, Aug 29 : Prisoners in Pakistan have found a novel way of hiding their cell phones, albeit a bit painful, by stuffing them up their rectums!
In a raid conducted by the Lahore Police, a total of 37 cellphones were recovered, with some of them hidden inside the prisoners' rectums and detected while they passed under a metal detector.
According to the Daily Times, seven of them had to be operated upon at Services Hospital to get the phones out of their bodies.
Camp Jail Superintendent Gulzar Ahmad Butt said on Thursday that the mobile phones had been found during a physical search of the prisoners and when they were screened with metal detectors.
The seven prisoners who had to be operated upon are: trial prisoners Najeeb, Waheed, Sharafat, Farman, Ghulam Abbas, Farzand and Jamil, added the paper.
Butt said that six kg of narcotics was also seized at the main gate, which was being smuggled into the jail as a thick coating on a pizza, and that one-and-a-half litres of liquor was seized while being brought in mineral water bottles.
He added that charas, opium and heroine were confiscated from prisoners after physical search of all prisoners.
Butt said that cases had been registered against the prisoners for keeping contraband.
According to the Jail chief superintendent, the quality of food being served in the prison was better than that of most restaurants and that the prisoners were being given chicken for four days and beef for two days with kernel and basmati rice.
