Bangalore, Aug 29 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Southwest monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts in (cm): Nagamangala, Huliyurdurga 7 each.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Nagathan, Kottigehara, Mudigere 5 each; Sravanabelgola 4; Hallimysore, Nelamanagala 3 each; Hungund, Bagalkote, Indi, Basavakalyan, Hassan, Holenarsipura, M.M.Hills, Kanakapura 2 each; Subramanya, Rabkavi, Almatti, Aurad, Alland, Afzalpur, Raichur, Napoklu, Kushalnagar, Bellary, C.N.Halli 1 each.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
