Govt increases Sub-Registrar offices in AP
Hyderabad, Aug 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Endowments, Stamps and Registration J Ratnakar Rao today said the State Government has created 45 new Sub-Registrar offices in October 2007, in addition to 387 offices in the state earlier.
Replying to a question raised by B Chengal Rayudu(Cong) in the Council, the minister said at present 432 offices were working in the state and the jurisdiction of the Sub-Registrar office in most cases was based on erstwhile taluq areas. Based on the increased work load and accessibility, the Government created new offices.
Mr Rao said the Government derived an income of Rs 3184 crore during 2006-07 and Rs 3818 crore during 2007-08 through the sub- registrar offices in the state.
