Gourishankar appointed SIDC Chairman

Bangalore, Aug 29 (UNI) Former JD(S) legislator B C Gourishankar who joined the BJP, was today appointed as Karnataka Small Industries Development Corporation Chairman.

Mr Gourishankar, son of former minister and JD(S) leader Chanigappa, had resigned his Madhugiri assembly seat recently.

Three Congress MLAs who had joined the BJP were given ministerial berths. Four JD(S) MLAs had also joined the ruling BJP. They were appointed to various Boards and Corporations.

Renowned Musician Dr Narasimhulu Vadavati from Raichur was appointed as Karnataka Music and Dance Academy Chairman.
