GCCI institutes award on Goan journalist late Mhambre
Panaji, Aug 29 (UNI) Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), as part of its centenary celebrations today decided to institute an award, in memory of Goan journalist late Mr Umesh Mhambre, in collaboration with the Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ).
The award would be presented on September 18, coinciding with the second death anniversary of Mhambre, for a write up, feature or analytical writing on the 'Goan Industrial Scenario', published during the year 2007 in the newspapers across the country.
Entries for the same should reach either the office of (GCCI) or that of the (GUJ) latest by September 8.
Writers should be a full time professional working journalist and must have been in the profession in Goa for at least five years.
The write up can be in English, Marathi or Konkani language newspapers.
The entries shall be judged by a three-member panel, which shall consist of one person nominated from GCCI and two senior journalists who are not participating for this award. Write up linked to advertorial supplement shall not be entertained.
