BJP not to withdraw support to Orissa government
Bangalore, Aug 29 (UNI) Expressing serious concern over the killing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Swami Lakshmananda Saraswati and continued violence in Orissa, BJP National Vice-President Muqthar Abbas Naqvi today clarified that the party would not withdraw support to Naveen Patnaik government in the state.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Naqvi described the situation in many parts of the state as 'serious,' especially in Kandhamal district.
However, he expressed confidence that the culprits involved in the incident would be arrested soon.
Referring to the demand by some of the BJP Legislators to with draw support to the state government, he said ''the party will not withdraw the support to the government.'' UNI MV MSP SY GC1627
