Administrative Reforms Commission term extended by 6 months

New Delhi, Aug 29 (UNI) The government today extended the tenure of the Administrative Reforms Commission by six months, till March 31, 2009.

The extension has been given by the Union Cabinet to enable the Commission to complete its pending work, Union Minister Kapil Sibal said.

''The Commision has submitted seven reports so far. It has some more reports to submit. To enable it to complete its pending work, its tenure has been extended till March 31, 2009,'' Mr Sibal told reporters.
