When it is other way round

Puducherry, Aug 28 (UNI) It is Chief Ministers who remove ministers when they revolt against them.

But for the first time in the Union territory, perhaps in the country, the ministers have managed to get the Chief Minister 'sacked'.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy, thus became the first Chief Minister to incur the wrath of his Ministers.

There are several other firsts in the Puducherry politics, including toppling of the S Ramaswami government of the AIADMK in 22 days, suspension and revocation of three legislators on the same day during the National Front government in 1980 by the then Speaker G Palaniraja.
