Vythilingam is CLP leader, stakes claim to form govt

Puducherry, Aug 28 (UNI) Former Chief Minster and Agriculture Minister V Vythilingam was today elected leader of the Congress Legislature Party here.

Later, Mr Vythilingam, along with, AICC Secretary-In Charge of Puducherry K B Krishnamurthy, MLAs and leaders of alliance parties, called on Lt Governor Govind Singh Gurjar at the Raj Nivas and tendered papers electing him as the CLP leader and extending support to him by the DMK and PMK.

Mr Vythilingam requested Mr Gurjar to invite him to form the new government.
