Vijaya Bank bags Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Award

Bangalore, Aug 28 (UNI) The Public Sector Vijaya Bank has been awarded the first prize in Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Awards for the year 2006-07.

The award would be presented by President Pratibha Patil during September, a press note issue by the bank said here today.

The award is instituted by Union Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, for effective implementation of Hindi, the official language of the country.
