UPA Govt playing with India's image: Pasha
Beed, Aug 28 (UNI) CPI leader and member of Parliamentary Standing Commitee on Energy Affairs Ajit Pasha today blamed the UPA government for projecting weak image of the country as members of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) are creating problems by dictating new terms.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Mr Pasha said ''Nuclear deal will give us only seven per cent energy in 2020 and it is very costly also. Hydraulic energy is more cheaper than nuclear, but UPA government is so eager to be America's junior partner that it wants to sign the deal.'' ''If the deal is signed, America will hijack our foreign policy,'' he alleged.
On the ongoing tension in Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Pasha said ''Jammu and Kashmir was never communally divided like this before.
Due to the inactivity of the home minister, parties like Hurriyat Conference are activated and Pakistan gets a chance to exert its influence in Kashmir,'' ha added.
