AP: 2 mill workers killed, 6 injured in a mishap

Tirupati, Aug 28: Two women workers of a spinning mill were killed on the spot and six injured, five of them seriously, when their vehicle collided head-on with a Tamil Nadu Corporation bus near Govindapalyam village on Puttur bypass road, about 35 km from on Thursday, Aug 28. According to police, the vehicle, carrying ten workers from Vadamalapeta near here, was proceeding to Sriram Spinning Mill at Narayanavanam road in Puttur mandal, when the mishap occurred.

The deceased were identified as Sujatha (18) and Subbalakshmamma (45).

The injured, who were rushed to Puttur Government hospital for treatement, were later shifted to the Government Ruia hospital, police said.
