Rangasamy's resignation to be sent to President: Gurjar
Puducherry, Aug 28: Puducherry Lt. Governor Govind Singh Gurjar on Thursday, Aug 28 said he received the resignation letter from Chief Minister N Rangasamy and it would be forwarded soon to the President Pratibha Patil.
Talking to newspersons here immediately after Mr Rangasamy left Rajnivas, Mr Gurjar said the Chief Minister had tendered his resignation along with his council of Ministers. However, he was asked to continue as the caretaker Chief Minister till alternative arrangements were made by the Centre, he added.
Mr Gurjar said the resignation letter of Mr Rangasamy would be faxed to Ms Patil and alternate arrangements were expected in a couple of days.
Mr Rangasamy was expected to participate in the Congress legislature Party (CLP) meeting scheduled to commence shortly at the PCC (I) Office.
