Old man run over by train

Phagwara, Aug 28 (UNI) An old man was run over by an Express train near Chiherru Railway Station here today.

Sohan Lal, 65, was crossing the railway lines when he came under the wheels of Amritsar-bound Shane-Punjab, police said.

In another incident, a youth Ranjit, 20,consumed celephas in his house in local Bhagatpura today.He was admitted in critical condition in local civil hospital.

In third incident, a man identified as Het Ram, 30, was found unconscious on national highway near Mehtan by pass today and was admitted in local civil hospital.

Meanwhile, five migrant labourers were apparently drugged by their acquaintances who decamped with their valuables and cash.The drugged men were admitted to civil hospital.
