Kamat discounts report on K'taka
Panaji, Aug 28 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today said there was no cause for concern on Karnataka Government reportedly filing an affidavit in the Supreme court, stating that Goa was part of Karnataka.
Replying to a call atention motion tabled by Damodar Naik (BJP) stating that the affidavit had triggered '' fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Goa'', the Chief Minister said there was no specific information available with the Goa government except that the news item had appeared in the local papers.
The government, he said, had decided to entrust the matter to Ms A Subhashini, supreme court advocate, to obtain a copy of the affidavit, if any, so that the government would be in a position to file a counter in the apex court.
Members, including the speaker, said the government need not take cognizance of such reports.
