Chhattisgarh to implement 6th Pay Commn recommendations
Raipur, Aug 28 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh government has decided to implement the Sixth Pay Commission's recommendations for its roughly 2.25-lakh employees.
A Cabinet meeting, chaired here last night by Chief Minister Raman Singh, considered the related proposal and agreed in principle to implement the recommendations.
''The hiked salaries will be provided with effect from next month. It will take time to calculate the actual payscale,'' a government spokesman said here today.
A committee, headed by the Chief Secretary, has been formed.
However, employees' organisations were unhappy about no word on arrears. Gazetted Officers' Union President Subhash Mishra said that a delegation of employees would meet the Chief Secretary today and register a protest.
