BJP for tough diplomatic measures to stop infiltration in J
New Delhi, Aug 28 (UNI) Expressing concern over the growing infiltration from across the border, the BJP today asked the Government to summon the Pakistan's High Commissioner to India and convey the country's dissatisfaction over continued incursions aided by the Pakistan Army.
The party said the Government should tell him that peace and infiltration could not go hand in hand.
BJP spokesman Ravishankar Prasad said the Government reacted strongly when the Indian Embassy in Kabul was attacked but now ''we want to know what steps the Centre is initiating to take up this issue with the neighbouring country, which is creating trouble in Jammu and Kashmir''.
'' There is an urgent need for taking tough diplomatic measures and to deploy the Army on the borders,'' he said.
There are numerous infiltrations bids from the Pakistani side, many of them taking place under the cover of firing from the Pakistan Army so that they could sneak easily into India.
On the reports of JKLF leader Yasin Malik meeting Lashkar-e-Toiba Chief Hafiz Sayeed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir(PoK), Mr Prasad said the Centre should throw light if these news reports were correct as the authorities had neither confirmed nor contradicted the reports.
