''139-Rail Sampark'' completes one year in service
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 28 (UNI) The national enquiry service for Indian Railways, '' 139-Rail Sampark'' has successfully registered over five lakh calls a day from across the country.
The service, started with the objective of brining high quality information services within the reach of every passenger and launched last year for North Zone by the Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, completed one year of operation on July 17, a Southern Railway release said here.
The ''139-Rail Sampark'' Railway enquiry services are delivered by Bharat BPO, a joint venture between Omma BPO services and Spanco Telesystem and Solutions Ltd.
The services include enquiries pertaining to arrival/departure of trains, PNR, reservation status and fare enquiry.
