Clashes on border are 'aberrations'

Dhaka, Aug 25, 2008: Indian and Bangladeshi top border guards met in Dhaka on Sunday to resolve border irritants and other issues. The two sides, at their half-yearly meeting, termed the clashes as an "aberration" and assured confidence-building steps. Bangladeshi military officials in July this year accused Indian troops of killing four civilians after a clash that briefly forced the closure of a crossing point between the two countries.
