Train services disrupted on Howrah-Bardhman section

Kolkata, Aug 27 (UNI) Train services were disrupted for several hours on Howrah-Bardhaman and Sheoraphuli-Tarakeswar sections as supporters of a political party obstructed its movements at various stations today.

The services affected between 0602 to 1207 hours forced the Eastern Railway to cancel 12 Up and 28 down EMU locals, the 2337/2338 Shantiniketan Express and the 135/136 Sealdah-Rampurhat passengers.

The trains which were rescheduled were the-2023 Up Howrah-Patna Janshatabdi express, 2175 Up Charnbal express, 2341 Up Agniveena express, 2311 Up Kalka mail, 2333 Up Vibhuti express, 3009 Up Doon express, 2321 Up Mumbai mail, 5049 Up Kolkata-Gorakhpur express, 3111 Up Lalquila express, 215 Up Vishwabharti fast passenger, 217 Up Mayurbhakshi fast passenger.

Whereas 3017 Up Ganadevta express was short terminated at Rampurhat and 3051 Up Hool express at Andal, an ER release said.
