TDP, TRS to move no-confidence motion against Speaker
Hyderabad, Aug 27 (UNI) Taking objection to the suspension of Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA K Balaramakrishna Murthy from the House for six months, TDLP Deputy leader N Janardhan Reddy along with the party MLAs today submitted a notice on the no confidence motion against Speaker K R Suresh Reddy to Legislative Assembly Secretary Tuljanand Singh.
The Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS), which was unhappy over the Speaker for not suspending ten dissident party MLAs from membership, also submitted notices on the no-trust vote to the official.
Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Janardhan Reddy said for the first time in the history of the State Assembly a Speaker would be facing no-confidence motion in the House.
He said the TDP would seek support from other political parties as the party had only 47 MLAs in the House against the required 50 for moving the motion in the House.
