Rupee gains at 43.75/76 per USD

Mumbai, Aug 27: The Rupee inched up by about ten paise at 43.75/76 against US Dollar from its previous close of 43.84/85 per dollar on positive global cues in the opening trade.

The domestic currency strengthened as a weaker dollar overseas boosted sentiment, with traders also wary of the central bank stepping up dollar sales to protect the local unit from falling too sharply, dealers said.
