PSEB reeling under power shortage again
Patiala, Aug 27 (UNI) The hot and humid condition have resulted in increased demand for power forcing the PSEB to reinforce power cuts in the state.
Official sources said here today that demand for power had reached 1750 lakh units (Lcus) today whereas the supply was 1425 Lcus. PSEB has now enforced power cuts of over one hour in the state. Meanwhile, the strike by the Lehra Mohabbat employees following a dispute with the contractors over wages has been called off. The unit no 2 has started production last night.
Three thermal units were shut down yesterday, which led to a shortfall of 670 mw power, sources said.
