Gold, Silver rise in early trade on Aug 27

Mumbai, Aug 27: Both the precious metals rose today in the early trade, with silver increasing by Rs 205 per kg at Rs 21,070 and gold by Rs 125 per ten gm at Rs 11,820, from their last close on brisk buying support from ornament-makers and bullish trend in global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

In the international market, positive trend was observed as gold rose to USD 826.15/827.15 from USD 822.90/824.30 an ounce, while silver firmed up to USD 13.60/13.66 from USD 13.56/13.64 an ounce late in New York, a market report from Singapore said.

The precious metals improved today as oil rose for the third consecutive day Wednesday, Aug 27 and recorded at USD 117 per barrel, traders said.
