New school timings fixed in HP

Shimla, Aug 27 (UNI) The Himachal Pradersh Government today fixed new timings for government schools in the state.

A decision to this effect was taken at a cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal here.

The timing for Summer closing schools would be from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs and for winter closing schools from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs.

The new timings will be implemented from September one, 2008 and applicable throughout the year in future, a government spokesman said.
