Motorola launches 5-mega pixel camera phone
New Delhi, Aug 27 (UNI) Motorola, a leader in wireless communications, today unveiled a five mega pixel camera phone in association with imaging firm Kodak, which will be priced in the range of Rs 15,000-20,000.
The product-- Motozine ZN5 is the first mobile phone to combine Motorola's ModeShift Technology with Kodak's imaging technology.
''This new innovation combines a high-quality phone and camera experience to help content-craving consumers seize inspiration and share the content they create and love with the world,'' Motorola Inc Corporate Vice President and General Manager (Asia, Mobile Devices) Ian Chapman Banks told reporters here during the launch.
The company has not yet decided the price of the phone. ''But certainly, it will be below Rs 20,000,'' Mr Banks said.
The phone will be available in the country next month at retail stores, including Kodak retail stores.
The company also plans to launch couple of phones in various segments in the next four months.
''You will see couple of launches in various segments this year,'' Motorola India Pvt Ltd Senior Director (Sales and Distribution, India and South West Asia) Lloyd Mathias said.
The company is also planning to bring in a new range of Motoyuva-- its phone in low-end category-- during the next week at Rs 3,000.
''The phone will have MP3, FM radio, and camera,'' he said without divulging further details.
