Mangalore University amends allowing carryover system
Mangalore, Aug 27 (UNI) Bowing to the pressure, the Mangalore University today announced amending the carryover system rules which enables the students to write examination of fifth and sixth semister despite having failed in first and second semester.
The students were agitating against not allowing them to write the third semister examination for having not completed earlier semister examinations of the three year BA, BSc, BCom and BHM degree courses.
According to the amendment, the students who are studying in 5th or 6th semester can now write exammination, even though they have not passed first and second semesters, according to a release by the University here.
