Lawyers not to defend Jaipur Serial Blasts accused
Jaipur, Aug 27 (UNI) In an unusual move, lawyers practicing at the Rajasthan High Court and District Subordinate Courts here have resolved not to plead the case in defence of Jaipur serial blasts case accused Shahbaz Hussain and others.
The High Court Bar Association and District Bar Association had formally resolved not to contest the case in defence of these accused ''whose inhuman acts tentamount to sedition'', a Bar Association spokesman said.
In compliance with the above resolve, no lawyer came forward yesterday to defend key suspect Shahbaz Hussain when he was produced before the trial court by the police for a remand.
Accused Hussain had told the court that he had no lawyer and later the court summarily remanded him to 10-day police custody.
