Karnataka tourism makes a splash in New York

Bangalore, Aug 27 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Tourism Janardhana Reddy today made a strong pitch for cooperation for USA based Travel Agents to attract tourists from that country.

The Minister, who is leading a delegation comprising of Tourism Director K Vishwanatha Reddy, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Vinay Luthra and Jungle Lodges and Resorts Managing Director N D Tiwari, shocased Karnataka, the Tourist destination, to travel agents and travel media in New York, according to a release here.

This was the first time that Karnataka Tourism has made a definitive presentation to the travel trade in the US.

Mr Reddy said that the US is India's largest source market.

Bangalore with its huge business traffic stands to gain a lot in these times when more and more people are heading to India from the US.

Minister for Health Sreeramulu, who is also part of the delegation, made a strong case for having American tourists come to Bangalore for health tourism.
