Haryana:Panel to implement Pay Commission recommendations
Chandigarh, Aug 27 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said Haryana was the first state in the country to have announced to implement the recommendations of the sixth Pay Commission on the pattern of Central government.
A High Level Committee under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary had been constituted to consider and implement these recommendations.
The Chief Minister, who was speaking in a felicitation function organised by the Haryana Karamchari Service Suraksha Sangh at Panchkula today, said a budget provision of Rs 1550 crore had also been made for the implementation of the recommendation of the 6th Pay Commission.
Terming the employees as a pivot of the development, he said the government's main function was to ensure speedy development of the state and thereby raising the living standard of its people.
Haryana had made rapid progress during the last three years and employees had contributed a lot in the development, he added.
Thanks to the contribution made by the employees in the development of the state, Haryana today ranked first in terms of per capita investment whereas its position was 14 in March, 2005, said Mr Hooda.
The state was also next to Goa in terms of per capita income and first in terms of wheat productivity, milk production and in the field of sports in the country.
