Govt asks PHC medical officers to visit welfare hostels

Hyderabad, Aug 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Health and Family Welfare Sambani Chandrasekhar today said the government had given instruction to medical officers of every Primary Health Centre(PHC) to visit welfare hostels during the first three days of every month.

Replying to a question raised by K R Amos(Cong) during Question Hour in the Assembly here, the Minister said the instruction was being implemented in letter and spirit as the government intended to provide medical facilities to hostel inmates.

Several members in the House urged the government to take steps to improve the facilities in the welfare hostels for the benefit of the students.
