Freight movement in SER yields additional revenue of Rs 850Cr
Kolkata, Aug 27 (UNI) South Eastern Railway General Manager A K Jain today said freight movement in the first four and half months (April- mid-August) has yielded an additional revenue of Rs 850 crore as compared to last year.
Speaking here at the Rail-Industry co-ordination meet, he urged the representatives of the major industries to rise up to the challenges and support SER to scale new heights of excellence in freight loading to achieve its target of 124 million tonnes in the current year.
Additional General Manager S K Chaudhuri, Chief Operations Manager S S Guru, Chief Commercial Manager P S Roy and several other senior officers of SER attended the meet.
Senior representatives of Sail, BCCL, ECL, Lafarge Cement, OCL, ACC, Ultratech Cement, Hindalco, Tata Chemicals, Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Usha Martin, Jai Balaji Steel, Rungta Mines, Electrosteel Limited, Essel Mining, Tata Sponge Iron Limited, Monet Ispat, MPS Steel, East Indian Minerals and Rashmi Metallics were present on the occassion.
