Dr Maroo, member of drought management

Bhopal, Aug 27: Senior IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre Dr Pukhraj Maroo, present Bhopal Divisional Commissioner, has been nominated as a member of the Core Group on Drought Management.

Constituted by the New Delhi-based National Disaster Management Authority, the core group has been assigned the task of preparation of the guidelines at the national level on drought management, official sources said.

The core group includes 12 members, who are experts and professionals in relevant field with years of experience from different states, the sources added.
