DHBVN to introduce spot billing system in Gurgaon
Chandigarh, Aug 27 (UNI) In order to give relief to the consumers and minimise the complaints of wrong billing, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has decided to introduce spot billing system in Gurgaon town.
A DHBVN spokesman said here today that the spot billing system in the areas of operation sub division New Colony, Kadipur and DLF, serving Gurgaon town, would start with effect from September one.
In the areas of operation sub-division South City, Maruti and IDC, the facility of spot billing would start with effect from September 15.
He said it was yet another step towards improving service to electricity consumers that the meter readers would now generate energy bills at the spot, in the presence of the consumer.
For this purpose, the Nigam would use electronic machines, in which the meter reader would feed the reading of meter at the spot.
The previous reading would already be available in the machine, as per given programme.
On giving command of printing, the machine will generate the electricity bill at the spot and will be handed over to the consumer at the same time. The consumer can make payment against his bill by cheque to the meter reader at the same moment.
