College received bomb threat which proved false
Mysore, Aug 27(UNI) It was an anxious moments for both students and the staff at JSS Women college which had received an alert call that a bomb was planted in the premises which was however proved as a hoax here today.
Police said that College principal had received a call allegedly from a woman stating that a bomb had been planted in the college premises and it can be exploded in an hour before disconnecting the phone.
Taking no change over the authenticity of the caller the college authorities have informed the police who have sent a bomb detection squad along with sniff dogs after sending the students and the staff of the college away from the premises and searched thoroughly which however proved it was a 'mischief call'.
This is the third such call received from the miscreants threatening planting of a bomb in the recent past including at Mysore Palace in the city which were however proved 'hoax' the police added.
