College gets hoax bomb call

Mysore, Aug 27 (UNI) There were anxious moments for students and the staff at JSS Women College which received a call today saying a bomb was planted in the college premises.

Police said the college principal received a call allegedly from a woman stating a bomb had been planted in the college premises and it would explode in an hour.

The college authorities informed the police who sent a bomb detection squad along with sniffer dogs after sending the students and the staff away from the premises. A thorough search revealed it was a 'hoax call.' This was the third hoax call received in the recent past including the one at Mysore Palace in the City, police added.
