Coal production at 30 mn tonnes in July
New Delhi, Aug 27 (UNI) Coal India Ltd (CIL) and Singareni Collieries Co Ltd (SCCL) jointly produced 30.02 million tonnes of coal during July against the AAP target of 32.44 million tonnes.
The actual coal production of CIL and SCCL during July 2007 was 28.74 million tonnes, registering a growth of 4.45 per cent in the month over July 2007.
Coal dispatches to the power sector during July 2008 was 25.56 million tonnes, according to an official statement.
Outstanding dues from consumers to CIL and Neyveli Lignite Corporation as on July 22, was provisionally at Rs 1,991.58 crore against Rs 1,973.58 crore up to June 23. The undisputed dues accounted for Rs 955.98 crore out of total outstanding. NLC's outstanding dues as on July 31 was provisionally put at Rs 908.18 crore.
