CM, Ministers pledge to donate eyes

Bangalore, Aug 27 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his Cabinet today pledged to donate their eyes.

Mr Yeddyurappa and his Ministers submitted forms for eye donation to the chief of Narayan Netralay at the Vidhan Soudha this morning.

The Chief Minister said the country had at least 30 lakh blind people but only 30,000 people had so far come forward to donate their eyes.

''Ministers donating their eyes for a public cause would surely send a message and inspire the people across the country to do the same,'' he added.
