AP Govt examining medical employees' demands: Minister
Hyderabad, Aug 27 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government was examining the representation made by Andhra Pradesh Medical Employees Union to settle their pending issues, Health and Family Welfare Minister Sambani Chandrasekhar told the Legislative Council today.
Replying to a question posed by P Nageswar Rao of CPI during the Question Hour, he said the union gave a representation to Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on July 23 with a list of 21 demands.
Replying to a query regarding the union's demand to form a high power commitee, involving Labour, Medical and Health and Finance Depatments, for settling the issues, the Minister said there was no provision to constitute a high power committee in subordinate services.
High power committees would be constituted only in Public Sector Undertakings. However, the government would look into the matter and do the needful, he assured.
