25 passengers injured as buses collide in Tiruchirapalli

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 27: Twenty-five passengers were injured when two buses collided head-on at Siruganur on the Tiruchirapalli-Chennai national highway near here early today.

Police said the state transport corporation bus was proceeding to Sengottah from Chennai, while the private bus was on its way to Perambalur from here, when the mishap occurred.

The injured were admitted to various hospitals in the city, police added.
