AP: Raids on illegal operations of pvt buses on

Hyderabad, Aug 26: Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana today said raids were being conducted frequently to check the illegal operations of contract carriages by private bus operators in the state.

Replying to a question by TDP members A Revanth Reddy and Y V B Rajendra Prasad during Question Hour in the Council, he said altogether 15,542 cases were booked against contract carriage buses for misuse of permits so far.

Cases were being registered against the vehicles whenever violations of the provisions of Motor Vehicle Act were noticed, he added.
