National Conference on IFRS at New Delhi on Sept 5-6
New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) A two-day National Conference on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will be held here on September 5-6.
Continuing Professional Education Committee and Northern India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is organising this conference, an official statement said here today.
Before this conference, ICAI will also organise a two-day Workshop on IFRS at Baroda in Gujarat on August 29 and 30.
The programme, being handled by the Committee for Members in Industry of ICAI, is intended to give an overview of application of IFRS in Indian scenario.
The programme focuses more on concepts that are relatively new under Indian GAAP and on topics which by and large potentially impact the net worth and profit or loss under more common situations.
Nationally renowned experts having in-depth knowledge, experience and expertise about the IFRS will be addressing the programme.
Considering the fact that a lot of challenges are faced during the first time implementation, a special session will be dedicated to sharing implementation experiences by various consultants and users both large and small.
