Rs 1000 cr business by 2020: Godrej Secure

Bangalore, Aug 26: Godrej Secure, a part of Rs 8000 crore Godrej Group, targets to achieve a business turnover of Rs 1000 crore by 2020, Godrej Security Equipment Division Vice President and Business Head, D E Byramjee said on Tuesday, Aug 26.

''In 2007-08, the company has achieved a turnover of Rs 300 crores and this year it was expected to be Rs 400 crores and by 2020 we want to cross Rs 1000 crores mark,'' he added. Talking to newsmen here, he said that with criminals searching new avenues to succeed in their attempt, the need of the hour was a comprehensive security solution networked together.

''Integrated security is the need of the hour, as the old system of physical or outdated mechanism would not help in preventing crime.'' He said that '' to offer a comprehensive security solution, you must have a wide range of security equipment, very strong technical know-how and a powerful backend support network for up-to-date maintenance and strict confidentiality.'' Mr Byramjee said that with over 75 per cent of the domestic market share, a steady growth of 30 per cent, the annual turnover is expected to touch Rs 400 crores in 2008-09.
